Electric cables & grid connection

The wind turbines are connected to each other by electric cables laid under the sea bed. A sleeve is mounted to the outside of each monopole, enabling the electric cable to be pulled up out of the sea. Underwater cameras and divers were used to ensure that the cables were not damaged during this operation. A special cable laying vessel equipped with an excavator uncoiled the cable and sank it in the sea bed.
